It takes 3.5 hours to bake a great little loaf of bread. I buy my flour and yeast in France, the flour quality is so much better. For my bread maker I calculate two thirds of the recipe on the packet of flour, although because I add flavours, nuts, dates or pumpkin, beetroot or herbs to the bread, I vary the water content a bit.
I have just put a Beetroot, walnut, and pumpkin with linseed bread on to cook. Including puréed beetroot bought from Lidl, which took me a couple of minutes to blitz it took about ten minutes to get the bread ingredients ready.
For two people this is an ideal size.
A loaf lasts us two days. I know what is in the bread, It tastes interesting. It may not be cheap, but one slice for a meal is enough. It also has nutritional value, lots of fibre, and is very digestible without feeling bloated after eating it.
