SEB are future-proofed for Induction Hobs.
Yippedy do dah, I am as happy as can be my lovely SEB pressure cookers work like a dream on Induction. Here is a picture of the 'Diffusal' base that works with induction.
Joy, deep joy. I just spent a weekend in Normandy twinning, (Jumelage), and was shown the use of a SEB with this base on a simple induction plate bought from the Hypermarket for about €45. This means this bit of kit becomes even more low energy. Wonderful.
I had a demonstration of cooking whelks, and Spider Crabs in the pressure cooker. Also a demo on French Mayonnaise with a wonderful new recipe. Using French Chevril, and French Shallots and a garlic clove in the mayo for seafood. Need to try it first, and will post a recipe later. Just wonderful. A huge taste trip, with locally caught Normandy Crab and Whelks.
We bought some hand made goat cheese at the market on Saturday, but had it 'confiscated' before leaving. We were off to Bretagne, and if La Manche don't want to share their best cheese with us in Bretagne, we sure as hell won't get it in Jersey, let alone an export item!
So all those people out there who have been saying a pressure cooker won't work on an induction hob, .... you have got the wrong pressure cooker.
By the way, all the high grade steel used for munitions can be melted down to make pressure cookers, just disarm them first!
