I also went to 'Bonny's Garden Center and got some runner bean plants and two types of cucumber plant. I decided after last year to buy these as we only need one of each type of cucumber, and two each of three types of beans. That's two of each unless one fails. If I buy a packet, I only get one type of bean, and a bean plant is only 30p. To me it makes sense to spend £1.80 on different ones than buy a packet of seeds of only one type.
Now there is a thought, I would buy a packet of bean seeds for about £2.50 if it had a selection of been seeds in it for two people. Nah, at 30p each you can see you have a bean plant! It is too early to put them in according to advice, as the nights are still too cold.
I am tempted to put the beans into more earth in bigger pots as they are in the plugs at the moment. that way they might be ok for another few weeks before planting. All their roots are showing.
I also put in seeds for coriander and basil, so hopefully we will have some nice fragrant herbs for salads.
Just a bit of pottering in the greenhouse then, and weeding a bit outside.
