The Pacemaker!
We were fortunate enough to have a top surgeon Mr Jinks, who is actually the son of my Husbands first heart specialist over twenty years ago do the operation. We could not ask for more. So Professional, and slick! Just two and a half hours to have an angiogram and a pacemaker/defibrillater fitted and wired up.
I am having trouble keeping up un a walk now! I think he had a stern talking to about limiting alcohol. His weight has dropped as I guess he is not carrying so much fluid.
Anyway I just wondered if anyone who read this blog wanted to know.
I still thank God that we live somewhere this is possible. I think how bad things have got in Syria, and other places where medicines, food, shelter, and comfort are missing.
We have gale force winds battering our island at the moment, and we are snug in a modern house, have heating, light, water, food, and a dog, who has also made a wonderful recovery this last year form a bad heart, bad stomach, bad back, and bad teeth.
When I calculated the vetinary costs last year I am sure it would have kept a family from starving. Yes the dog is insured too, but it only pays back about half the bill now she is nearly Twelve. She is worth it to us. She is a good dog. A hunter in her earlier life!
We need to help war torn countries, Shelter, Food, Medicines and Medics. I do support a favorite charity, I know they all end up having issues, but I genuinely think 'Shelterbox' is a great idea. Survival in a Box, It's very clever, because it's simple. Anyway thats my thing. What's yours?
Happy New year, a Healthy New Year, and a Peaceful Spirit of Goodwill towards everyone who reads this little post.
