Moslems and Jews feel like that about Pork. Well Moslems do Anyway, not sure about Jews.
I must admit I thought the bloke had made his point and got his money back. I couldn’t understand the need to continue the diatribe afterwards.
However my issue is with calling it TurkeyHam in the first place. It’s Turkey! If they want to call it reconstituted Turkey made to look like something solid and sliced, fine. Turkey forcemeat might be more accurate, although it would probably need at least 40% of this product to be able to call it Turkey at all. So it probably wasn’t Turkey. It was just reconstituted meat product flavoured with Turkey. So do we know what the reconstituted product was made from... of course not!
I won’t eat any food mix labelled and sending mixed messages either. Vegetarian Sausages there’s one! Why call them sausage, sausage has meat in it. Call it Soya Surprise and hang on to your hormones while you are eating it! If I want to eat a vegetable pate in a sausage skin, the sausage skin had better not be plastic. I can’t imagine what you put a vegetable pate in to make it look like a sausage, if it isn’t in a pigs intestine. I want my sausages to be full of pork and a bit of rusk, and packed into proper intestine, or caul. I am not a Moslem, however I am a self respecting human being that wouldn’t eat something as dubious as a TurkeyHam sandwich.
My issue would be how much sugar there was in the bread. I would be very sick after eating that roll. I would have a bloated stomach and feel bad for hours. The thing is unless you take your own sandwich on a plane you haven’t a clue what you are going to get served. Also four quid for a sandwich with reconstituted Turkey meat in it is daylight robbery. Turkey is so cheap you could afford to carve the turkey into a sandwich for that price and put cranberry sauce on it. You can’t put stuffing in it unless it’s not got pork in it... many people don’t eat pork!
Dont start me on peanut butter with sugar in it, or pepper sold with sugar in it. Going shopping is a bloody minefield of added sugar. I feel very bad after refined sugar.
I suppose if you are like me with a strict diet to keep you well, you don’t take the risk of buying a random roll in a plastic wrapper on a plane!
