It struck me this evening that allowing this to continue is a way of discrediting Boris and the Brexit bunch in the eyes of the British public.
That the snap election was indeed an opportunity for the Conservative remain movement to undermine the majority their party held so that the whole negotiating process became even more messy.
Why else call a snap election with a hugely unpopular Theresa May grunting out Strong and Stable like a robot, while adopting a non negotiable hard Brexit stance.
Then bribing the DUP with 1 Billion for votes to count as a majority when its a bad time to mess in Irish politics. Unforgivable.
What a dangerous game they play. I don't think either the Conservatives or Labour are fit to Govern.
Its a pity there isn't a third party that is a challenger. Perhaps there needs to be an overt polarisation of like minded remainders who can form a third credible party. Give the Great British public a genuine party to vote for.
I see the EU have suspended talks for now, as the UK do not wish to enter into the settlement conversation.
Oh that was the settlement that the Brexit brigade forgot to tell the electorate about...
There has been allegations that there was double voting in the General election. It is obviously possible to vote twice, so the Brexit referendum may have also been compromised. Certainly it was by 'lost' postal votes.
In my opinion the Crown dependencies should have had a vote too. If the UK has crashed the pound over a gross error of judgement in calling for a referendum on the EU, it has affected our standard of living, our cost of living, and the cost of our imports. We didn't get a vote, and it has and will affect us.
The Conservatives have managed to stir up as much vitriol in the UK as possible. Anti everything according to the tabloids. Racism, class war, (because that is what this is, but politically incorrect to use the term) and xenophobia.
I fail to see how the Labour Party are going to put a sticking plaster over the deep gashes in the psyche of the Great British people. They are offering to buy off the young and their debts like an over compensatory parent, I assume if University tuition is to be free, the acceptance standards for University will drop also.
Far better to roll out the technical degrees that you take while working and earning a living. Subsidise those if anything, so we can rebuild industry.
Let's face it, if a young person can afford a gap year before starting University, they can also pay for tuition.
The NHS is overwhelmed. It seems to me the highly paid administrators are creaming it when nurses don't get pay rises. Another game of undermining a great British institution to privatise it.
I bet within five five years if this policy is persued the UK will have to pay a supplementary health insurance. All this c**p about not having the money to sort it out, when £135 Billion is about to be spent on useless F35 fighters.
Then the £100 Billion we don't need to cough up to get out of the EU if we stayed in, which by the way we will still be paying the same amount to stay in the trading block, even though we are 'Officially' out.
We may as well forget the referendum, the UK will just pay through the nose for a sliver of the benefits it gets now in trade agreements and has no say in what the EU are up to.
What on earth was the point?
I would vote Rowan Atkinson for PM.
