They informed me that as they are now very clean, they would like to stay with us. To that end, I must not allow them to touch the ground outside my house, even the dog has kept a respectful distance! Although the dog blankets and bath towels are under them! Clean of course.
Lovey, the Collared Dove came to inspect them from the fence. So I guess She approves of how nice these three look. The young Squirrel came too earlier, and was so very bold snaffling from the bird table. His coat and tail look wonderful, I will try to get more pictures of all our bird visitors and the Squirrel in the coming days and put them on this post.
The other two bits of carpet I am will put back in the Auction sale, and any proceeds put to the Syrian rebuilding fund. (They can stay in the Freezer for a few weeks to teach them a sever lesson for being impersonators). For the Monument Society to help train Stonemasons in the Refugee camp in Jordan. My Great Uncle was a Master Builder. From a long line of Master Builders. My Grandfather was a Boat Builder. MTBs... they are still one of the best craft.
I will give the carpets a little vacuum when they come in the house. I am expecting a sort of existential amount of sand to come out of the smaller rug! I can imagine at least a Kirby bag full. It has a new bag in it, so I am going to weigh it before and after just for fun. Yes my Husband does think I am totally crackers, but He finds it quite entertaining.
