The painting of the actual sofa is progressing. The whole sofa has had one coat of paint, and one arm is on its second coat.
I suppose the Two state solution everyone wants is the high contrast look. The one state solution would be the other side of the fabric. I like the idea of having two sets of cushions.
I suppose that means the whole land is designated as one country, with the caveat that the State of Palestine as a Nation is not lost within the whole territory. Jewish people have retained their identity throughout the world. This is the case for the Palestinian people as well.
It is wrong to take away people's identity, and their country. If the Palestinian People thought they could make a go of it, keeping their own identity, and seamlessly integrating with the Jewish State, then it would be a great solution.
It would have to be a very special design though, because the Palestinians would also have to be represented in Parliament, and Israel become fully democratic.
I have decided that the three cushion look of my sofa is probably going to change too. I have decided I just want two cushions for the seats, and the back rests. This will save on pattern matching the fabric, and save yards of cloth. Yup this girl is always thinking of ways to save pennies, I might have enough cloth left to make curtains then.
well, I think I just made a decision. If the dark side of the fabric looks good, I will cover the sofa cushions in the dark pattern with the stripes. Then cover the two chairs with the lighter side of the fabric as a contrast. Will have to wait until the sofa is completely painted, dry and waxed to lay the fabric over and make a final choice.
If I did decide to do it the other way round, I will paint the recovered base of the two chairs to match the sofa colour, and cover them in the dark side of the cloth. So options open, but I am leaning towards the reverse stripes side for the sofa. The underlying stripes of the sofa show through already, so it makes sense to use the stripes on it anyway.
I suppose if I was thinking of an UNITED ISRAEL, then having just one set of Parliament, Civil Service, and Infrastructure makes a lot of sense. No point duplicating as it would cost twice as much.
I have decided I will make one choice for my sofa cushions, so I can make other soft furnishings with the cloth as well.
