We live in an age of Information Technology, but sadly many people seem to be suffering from Chronic Ignorance. I just wanted to drink a couple of glasses of water... tap water at that.
I felt I needed to rehydrate as I succumbed to a small taste of my Husband’s Home made marmalade. Less than a teaspoon full at breakfast. It has thrown my metabolism right out. I just needed to flush my system and I don’t drink water on it’s own. I put a few drops of Apple Cider vinegar in it, or a teaspoon if I am very thirsty.
Water on its own is both unpalatable to me, and it doesn’t make me feel refreshed. I also think it dilutes my electrolytes.
I would bever willingly drink drink from a plastic bottle, and certainly would not drink the unadulterated water therin. The plastic leaches into the water and I can taste it. No thanks, and you can never sterilise plastic. It’s always got a tainted smell. With a new tainted smell, or a stale odour of nasty bacteria.
At least I can sterilise glass.
Anyway I went to get the bottle of Cider vinegar out, and it’s gone. All the lovely brown ‘Mother’ I was saving to put in the next bottle. I get mine in France, I will have to go to Boots to get some. Anyway, I feel awful, dehydrated, and I tried a drop of malt vinegar, but it doesn’t work. Lemon juice would not do it, I might try some slices of Cucumber.
My Husband is out right now, which is good, because if He was here, with me feeling very off colour and pesky he would get the both barrels about throwing away this precious liquid. I think he just thought it had gone off. It’s impossible to explain anything to Him. He has no desire to know anything.
He was very helpful yesterday though. It’s just I feel bad tempered and aches. I wanted to rebalance myself. In Biblical times drinking vinegar and water would be commonly known as a rehydration. That’s why it was given to Jesus on the Cross. Water on it’s own doesn’t help. You would get arthritis, and all sorts of other fatigue related illnesses from just drinking water. Whatever you do don’t put the vinegar in a plastic bottle to drink it, it would break down the plastic.
I feel very miserable and depressed because of the sugar in the marmalade. Just one date balances my slow release fructose though, it’s just that I have a raging thirst. Poor me!
I just remembered I had a couple of bottles at the back of my shed... I am a bit of a survivalist after all. I will post the picture of the one I buy in France. It’s less than a Euro last time I bought it. It is also stabilised with potassium. Exactly what I need to balance my blood sugar that’s gone crazy. I did bother to look up the benefits of the potassium, it interesting, no wonder that’s what I was craving.
I must remember to put a drop in the dogs water. The Husband would never touch it, and he has got the Heart condition. He is complaining about the little bleeds he gets from thin skin on his scalp. He is taking warfarin. However, can I get him to wear a hat? Especially a Panama in Summer to shade his ears. If He just won’t do it, it’s time I stopped nagging. We have been married 32 years, it’s too late to try and train Him to be sensible now.
I have just started to feel better. Thank God for the two spare bottles of Cider Vinegar in the garage. I know I bought it and put it there, but It was conveniently forgotten about until the crisis moment earlier. I distinctly had a God moment flashing before my eyes of Cider Vinegar under the sink in the garage. Even with brain fog.
