The catchy bit was the yellow colour of the emeralds, so I suppose they have particular qualities for writing holographics to. If the blockchain technology is going to expand there has to be a better way of storing data that is incorruptible.
I think I read somewhere it is possible to use nanotechnology to give a signature to a gemstone during the mining stage. I looked this up and it also seems blockchain or rather the authentication part of it could be used to store the DNA profile of the gemstones instead of giving them paper authentication which can either be forged or lost.
It may also shut down the blood diamond trade as all stones in monetary use would have to have authentication. So perhaps my quip the other day to someone that they may as well gather seashells off the beach wasn't too wide of the mark.
The other interesting thing to my thinking is that the gemstones have intrinsic value as well as a capacity to store and share information, so they could become actual live storage devices used in every day transactions with a laser reader, or stored wealth as in intrinsic value.
It made me think of jade axe heads for some reason. Obviously useless for purpose, but a symbol of wealth. The thing is, it's the flawed gemstones that are useful for technical applications, as the spaces are used in the imperfections. The both Zero and one mathematics I wittered on about a while back.
Basically a Zero with a plus or minus signature. Anyway I thought it was interesting. I can see Cryptocurrency resolving a great many issues with the world today.
What I would like to see is the demise of the debt based system ruled by banks.
With a crypto system it might be possible to limit the need for debt. Credit cards (debt accrual systems). The principles in the bible are not free market economy. There was a set price mentioned for wheat and barley. If there was scarcity it meant famine for everyone, not food for those who could afford it and starvation for those who couldn't.
I assume Cryptocurrency would also allow for crowdfunding very easily, so generally speaking it may not be advantageous to continue using the stocks and shares system as it is now. It would make most companies would be co-operatives.
It would certainly mean that people wouldn't be able to keep borrowing money to buy more personal items like art and yachts with more finance. The whole shambles of money disorder could just melt away like that huge iceberg that calves off Larson C. The end of larceny!
BRICS could very well usher in a new world order. The same way bricks did in the Bible. Moses led the people away from slavery. Let's hope what the BRICS are hoping to achieve will make the world safer, fairer and less fraught with chaos than we have experienced in these last days. Most of the gemstones are mined by BRICS countries, so I suppose it's plausible.
