My Cooker also blew up on Sunday just as I was about to cook the dinner! Thankfully I had only just put the oven on, and dinner wasn't actually under way. I cooked in my top oven it just took longer but was OK.
Our repair man has been looking at the oven this morning, it needs another part that acts as a fail-safe if the oven overheats. He will probably be back to fix it when he has the part. He is very reliable, doesn't mess about saying we need a new one if it can be fixed and is very professional. (That's 'Jersey Appliance Services' if you live in Jersey.UK).
There are so many little things that have needed to be attended to over the last couple of weeks, I think they are God given diversions. Things we have to organise to keep ourselves busy during this difficult time of Aunty leaving us.
Aunty has now been taken off saline, but still given pain relief. The doctors made this decision. She is comfortable. She fought off the feeding by tubes, and would not have any of it we were told by the nurses, Aunty has always known her own mind, and been a fighter. She still holds on. I am visiting this afternoon, My Husband sat with her this morning.
The dress I have been making has been a challenge for the times I feel like doing more to it. I am not sure If I will like it! It's another diversion. I made it with my own pattern. I got my first fitting with it made up this morning. Very quickly, as we don't put the heating on during the day and this is a Summer dress! I now have to work out how to 'make it work' as they say.
It is the process of dressmaking that I like I suppose. I realy am going to buy myself a good adjustable dummy when I can afford it. I have lost over a stone since last summer, and I simply don't know my 'shape' any longer. Fitting onto a dummy is so much easier.
Right, need to go and get washing off the line, and then go to the Hospital.
