Having both sites running seems to mirror this kind of dark and light side of me.
I started a new story about Tuppeny Bear and Penny Lion over on the new site. Its a good old fashioned love story, and a sort of modern take on the Adam and Eve narrative.
The trouble is that the Bible narrative isn't something a child can understand. It portays Eve in a 'villain' role, which I don't think is very helpful for a child. It also makes children grow up with this idea that women are somehow to 'blame' for everything.
It is a very important story to unpack in my opinion. If anyone does visit this site, and likes stories to read for children that have an educational and moral aspect, I hope you find 'The Adventures of Tuppeny Bear and Penny Lion' fun.
I grew up watching 'The Magic Roundabout' Everyone in the house watched it because it was on before the News. I couldn't understand why the adults laughed at it so much until I was a little older and understood what 'double entendre' meant .... 'Time for bed said Zebedee'... Boing!
