It should have started to make a good recovery before now. Is this a don't be so stupid United Kingdom, there is no such thing as democracy in this world backlash from the financial markets?
Well I have happily bought Euros for £1.10 after the shambles of 2008, so bring it on. We survived then, so we can get through this.
I was running a business then and employing staff who had to earn a living. Somehow we made it through. I had to cut some hours and wages, reduce stock levels, and generally tighten every possible nut and bolt holding the business together.
Most of all, I had to be on top of the finances. I was exhausted. BUT WE SURVIVED?
Not only that within three years the staff bought me out.
The thing that I would not sacrifice was my sense of principle. Was it right?
How could anyone know what is right you might ask.
I read the Bible. There is an inherent sense of what is good and evil in the BIBLE. God tells us what is good. What is wholesome, what pleases Him. Reading the Bible also gives you the spirit to define what is right and good. Even if I can't verbalise why I think something is bad I just seem to have a gut feeling it's wrong.
I don't think it's a good idea to write God out of any equation.
