I don't think I want a carte blanch access to any web data I may have created during the use of this I-pad. My Brother gave me some money towards buying it so we could Skype each other.
I have 79% of the battery left and a screen that looks as though it is stuck on night mode.
I am concerned that if I plug it in for a recharge, it will update automatically, and then by default I will have been included in the security update.
I wonder if it's just a problem for me, or if everyone else has a dark screen.
I want it to be known that all data collected during the use of this I-pad, and any other device I may use for communication, or have used, or will use, may not be stored or kept in any way that will be used by any agency, government, company, to profile any of my preferences, spending habits, psychological profile.
That I reserve the right to make personal comments about any subject that is reported on or in news media. And that any personal remarks I may have made, make, or will make are not subject to use against me in a court proceeding, or inferred criticism or censorship of my personal beliefs morals or conduct.

If this update, as I suspect curtails the freedom of speech, and the use of the internet as a research tool, due to the prospect of every search an individual makes being monitored, then we may as well all be Unplugging our routers, and sitting it out until we perfect telepathy!
