There isn't anything such as a Free Trade Deal. There is always a trade off for sovereign rights, or political power.
Perhaps we as the United Kingdom may have become Little Britain in one sense, but we have begun a movement away from allowing other countries to dictate our policies. That's if our public just gets more informed. MORE INVOLVED.

This was not on the agenda for the Brexit vote, yet it is so important. The Canadian trade agreement only needs ratifying. It is the precursor, and black door to TTIP.
We will all become further economic slaves to these trade agreements. Please that the United Kingdom gets political again, and realises what is at stake in the wider world.
Our Newspapers dumb down everything. There isn't the great investigative journalism there used to be, that actually informed people about real issues.

I remember my education. We had to do Current Affairs for an hour a week. We had all the major newspapers provided for that day and had to read one and make personal judgements on the journalism, compare with each other what the news was and then do a summary during the week for homework. My Mother insisted we had the Telegraph every day, even though we were not well off.
That was a while ago!
