I was explaining the possibility Russia has sneaky low level Nukes earlier. That means the whole Korean Nuke thing has been a red Herring to keep the Americans worried about ICBMs, all the while developing something that flies too low to be picked up by radar, and jigs about like a grasshopper on steroids. I find it a bit of a wind up myself. They would have had to crack teleportation, and that is about ten years off. It might be in development but not reliable. They haven’t got the vectoring sequences right yet. Still it’s do-able.
Its a bit like the Brexit fiasco.
If they stifle imports of steel, they won’t get any imports. They will have a problem with their grain produce soon, as they have drained that big aquifer, and used good ground water for fracking. The next problem they will have, apart from half the Everglades disappearing down an old salt mine that was badly mined and breached the crust wall, and the big hole they have now will melt into all the subsequent chambers... is brackish water. Get ready to invest in desalinating plants guys. You can probably make hydrogen while you are doing it to run cars on!
The short sighted protectionist agenda the politics in the USA throws up is laughable. Definitely a lot of tail lashing going on over the other side of the Atlantic. The old guard Leviathons must be having apoplexy. President Trump seems to be playing them all like a pack of cards!
I have to say, I have warmed slightly to TRex. Not only does He seem able to gnash through a lot of whitehouse staff, He seems to be able to strike terror into the hearts of other countries steel production. They Yanks will never be able to produce enough steel for rebar if they plan to rebuild all the crap that needs replacing so I wouldn’t worry too much. They never kept up with the infrastructure investment. They just spent it all on weapons, and bungled F35s. True cost os over 1000BN and running. That’s why they are finding huge deficits in their accounting all over the place.
(Actually a day later I have just had a thought. The Middle East are going to need a shed load of rebar to rebuild their infrastructure, I definitely would let the Yanks try to find funding to get their Steel Industry up and running again!)
If I was an American Taxpayer, I would want to see a balanced budget, and accountability at every level for every staple the military uses. I would want independent scrutiny of the military budget, and insist on cour martials for misappropriated funds. Even a donut. Then I would demand accountability from all the other USA departments. No funny money, no meddling in other people’s affairs.
In the meantime, plaster a huge hike in tax on the wealthy to deal with the national debt, and come up with a new infrastructure development plan. That’s where all the new jobs should come from. A good health service would be nice. The Brits have a good model. At the moment it’s under attack from US corporate raiders, so it’s having a bit of a setback.
Hopefully the Irish will throw a spanner in the Brexit engine, the Scots will pull out the spark plugs, and the Welsh will either let the tires down, or stack the whole Ill conceived idea when they find out the British Government want to put GPS tags on their sheep. They will put the Brexit idea on some bricks and nick the wheels off it.
In the meantime our arch cheater Tony Blair is chirping up. We are never sure who he is working for. Still, sometimes you can’t dunk the messenger in shit, no matter how much the storyline dictates it.
I have the feeling a hard line, completely irrelevant bunch of toffee eating public school louts are having a playground power struggle. The facts are that the UK is inextricably involved with Europe.
Its like going in for a frontal lobotomy and coming out and finding you got both your legs cut off In the wrong operating theatre by a surgeon with the same name. You still got a brain, but can’t get around very well without some high tech foot ware. Still I suppose if the UK want to be in the political paraolympics, rather than the able bodied Olympics it’s highly commendable.
The trouble is I don’t want my legs cut off and not be able to travel freely, and I would not have booked myself for a frontal lobotomy.
