I have been at a loss as to know what to do with the trussed up carpets in my freezer. It seems such a Bizarre situation to put myself in. My Husband wanted me to dump these carpets and send them to our Lovely Borg Incinerator.
I delayed thinking they may redeem themselves but evidently not. They are festering in the deep freeze and taking up room.
My Husband just went and got three wonderful Dover Sole Fillets on sale from Waitrose, and I have to evict the carpets because we need to freeze them along with about £20 worth of Beef Cheek he got for £6. That will be a great project to cook and preserve that in confit.
Anyway I have decided to teach these Carpets a lesson and put them in my washing machine again on a £95 degree wash. Straight from Frozen. With some nasty biological Washingt powder I keep for absolute necessity.
Lovey Dovey the Dove has just turned up and given me a reproachful look on her way to the bird table. Perhaps 90 degrees and Biological Washing powder is a bit harsh. Even the Pidgeons have come to save the Carpets from a very traumatic end. They look horrified. A lot of head shaking going on.
I am going to get them out anyway. I will have to leave them in the bag and let them rot for a couple of weeks before sending them to the incinerator. Actually I am just going to hand them over to my Husband to deal with. He wanted to get rid of them anyway.
At least I will be able to get into the Freezer.
I am definately not using those non stick bread tins again. They have been oiled, Have paper in them and my bread is still baked in one like a brick. Much nicer freeform on a Cabbage leaf.
Looks like another loaf the birds are going to get. If only a lot of fat pidgeons would fly in and sacrifice themselves for starving people in Yemen.
Right my lawn is now in shade, so it’s getting a short clip. We haven’t had enough rain for it to be growing this fast. I may be able to put my new pavers in tomorrow. I will give it a soak after and decide where to put the new slabs.i need to dig out and fill, and then put new seeds in tomorrow.
The Dog is telling me if I get the carpets out and give them to her she will give them a seeing to!
Right gird up thy loins girl and get on with it.. The Carpets can have a 40 degree wash with fabric softener!
Blast... Thunderbolts and Lightning they are in the Bin. My Husband over-ruled the washing machine. He is taking them to the dump tomorrow!
Well Miss Lucky Ducky came for three handfuls of handfed wet bread and followed me into my garden for it. I did entice her as the neighbours cat was wagging its tail in a voloptuos curve of hunting instinct. Then when I shooed her out, she decided to come back for a hose down while I watered the lawn. Poor thing was very dehydrated. Anyway she flew off. It’s the first time we have had a duck in the garden.
Hopefully... the pigeon is upgraded to fattened duck for Yemen then. I shouldn’t make light of it, but when the Israelites were starving in the desert, God sent them Quail, which I thought was very decent. I like Quail. I think they moaned about that as well, I will have to look it up.
As an afterthought, I couldn’t understand why the Israelites killed all the Quail. They could have kept half of them and had Quail eggs in no time. If God sends Yemen very nice fat ducks, I would like them to consider how good duck eggs are.Ducks also poo a lot which is very good for the ground, They are lovely to feed by the hand too. The children will love them, they make nice pets. And very nice crispy in pancakes. I thought God would have sent food for the Quail if they kept them.
Anyway the lawn survived the eviction of large weeds, which came out surprisingly cleanly. And it looks positively verdantly short. In fact it looks manicured in the places it hasn’t got scorched earth. Still it will get reseeded tomorrow night. I am sure there are weeds in my grass seed box. I have got Poppies growing in the edges of the lawn now. I missed one! I might let it grow.
I suppose mowing down the The poppy harvest this year would be a problem for some...
We put the dog on an upgraded raw food diet today. Poor thing has four lower teeth loose, and they are full of tartar in the gums which is shedding. She is letting me descale her teeth gently which is an amazing thing for a dog to allow. She has lovely teeth. Long snippy Canines. Ideal for a rat catcher. Anyway I am hoping the soft special raw food will sort out the loose teeth problems. It has turmeric and herbs in it as well. Ideal for an elderly dog.
It is scandalous that my dog gets best food, and migrants and displaced people are kept in cages. Her cage in the car is for her protection, and it has a special mattress in it for her back. How can people treat other Human Beings worse than I treat my dog? I worry about my dog, her moral, her food, her medication. She is our responsibility. We decided to have a dog. My Husband was chosen by her. She has given us endless amusement and pleasure, and she is her own dog. We do not own her. She is our little friend. And she is a good Hunter. If she had seen the escapade with Lucky Ducky, and not been kept inside, I would be slipping Lucky Ducky into the freezer by now.
Looks like Weebly must be using the Google version of spelling everything I write. It’s a constant battle the spelling program on this website lately. It needs a severe talking to...
