However, it's my birthday today, and I spent the whole day digging through my border to get the wild flowers out of it.
They are weeds! I bought two packets of weeds.....
I have plenty of those everywhere else!
I am depressed. Angry, frustrated, annoyed, and feel stupid.
Of course, wild flowers where you don't want them are weeds.
The definition of a weed is 'a plant where you don't want it'.
However the bottle of pink champagne given to us last week for holding our God-daughter's wedding at our place is now in my glass, and I am feeling a whole lot better about having weeded the border... again. Ref: Tom Hanks in Forrest Gump!
I suddenly realised during my weeding activities that toxic debt is exactly the same as weeds. A Trojan. Under certain circumstances desirable, under others a pernicious nightmare. I love wild flowers in hedgerows, but I don't want weeds in my border.
That debt of any description is a weed, even if it is sold in a pretty packet, with a 'save the planet' donation promised.
I would have been happier with a packet of mixed herbs. Or Perrenials.
That I got two packets of weeds for £4 and it has taken me 8 hours to get them all out of my border again is a lesson I won't forget.
Kind of reminds me of 'Being There' with Chauncey Gardener. Peter Sellers was a genius. Great movie.
I am going to stand up in defence of the French, even though they sold the Americands the Statue of Liberty, (another Trojan, she looks more like Hecate). (Pity the Americans don't do classics like us Brits).
Perhaps poetic justice then. Just goes to show these things come back to bite you on the bum. The French bought a lot of America's toxic debt. I have come to the conclusion today, that toxic debt is exactly the same thing as a packet of wild flower seeds. Don't expect cut flowers from a packet of seeds that says 'contents may vary'!
If I was in charge of the world right now, i would call every world leader to the 'table' and 'wipe out' all debt. A total worldwide Jubilee year of reckoning. And to honour God I would call it year (. Jubilee- )
I would also 'wipe out all insolvency for businesses who actually do employ people, and make something, a commodity that has a tradable value. I would also re-engineer all stock markets.
thus:-
I would outlaw any speculative trading. All futures markets, and anything related to trading the value of a company above and beyond it's ability to produce a tangeable product, or it's direct subsidiaries who also produce tangeable products. Non tangeable products would have no value for trading. Not even ideas. Not until a product is manufactured could it be considered of tradeable value. Then not until it was made and shipped, arrived and paid for.
Indirect subsidiaries need to be named in their own right, and their modus operandi made clear. Too many tax evaders, and cloak and dagger operations for my liking. I prefer the idea of sole traders only. At least someone is culpable.
I would outlaw any commodity that is not already in circulation, or below 12" ground level. All mining, and drilling for commodities to cease.
We have a weight distribution problem to deal with. If the planet doesn't spin nicely, and the magnetic North stay within acceptable perameters, we all have a problem. Get all that scrap down, it's giving us bow shock 'dementia'.
If planet earth needs to re-allign naturally, then She will do it to keep herself balanced, so we have a lot of melting permafrost, and hungry polar bears.
I love it that a young Jerseyman has the spirit to tackle a Polar Bear head on, and that he has had to have it's teeth taken out of his skull. It obviously had his head in his jaws, and our young man had a good uppercut to the windpipe to stave it off. Brave man.
I would get busy replanting a lot of trees back where they have been cut down, as without them we will have land erosion, and a huge problem with climate variance. Please don't tell me we do not have the money or science to create alternatives to petrochemicals!
All mass production of furniture, and commodities to cease. Back to artisan craftsmanship in all areas. 10 years max. Back to time served apprenticeships under a 'Master Craftsman'.
A serious look at how Drug companies rule the world right now.
A personal, and carefully considered choice for every western couple to decide on having only one child for the next 50 years.
By definition I would say 'western' is anyone who has a moile phone, or internet access.
However no stuff like the Chinese did on drowning babies at birth. And rather like shooting pool, where you have to name your pocket. A decision on marriage as to how many children.. or not... each couple plan to have. No penalties for exceptions! Genuine accidents are an act of God!
However for mothers to have a child as a single parent is social suicicide for the state. Mary Mother of Christ was a single parent, yet Joseph decided to marry her. All credit to Joseph. Joseph in my opinion is rarely mentioned in the christian gospels. As a Reb, a Jewish man, marrying Mary went against everything He held dear. If a woman gets pregnant, both she and the man are both responsible for the child.
Humanity is very resourceful. I know the riots in the world right now are the 'unspoken voice' of the darkened mirror of our worst nightmares. The mirror does not even show us the self we wish to see, but a glimpse at the anarchy we have engineered by ignoring so many warnings and the villification of an unacceptable face of current ideas about 'civilisation'.
In the UK we managed to create a class of 'untouchables'. To see someone simply kicking down a door with their heel, shows me the contempt for the society that person is living in. That others who 'should have' some moral guidelines, are following in the broken glass wake of social anarchy, shows a lack of parental, and social moors.
At least when people wore hats, it was for a social reason that everyone understood. Now we have no 'social reason' to govern our hysterical moments, and people disguise their faces in hoodies and scarves to be the 'faceless' voice.
God does not take prisioners. That was the message I learned from reading the Old Testament Bible. However, humanity does not have the answers when it comes to re-incarnation, or the dispensation of life. Only God does.
I know God as both a loving and considerate friend, ...and a terrible enemy. One I have no means to outwit, outhink, outflank, or ignore/evade. For this distinction, I must conceed to having 'Fear of The Lord'. I never know what He is going to do next. He is always capable of more than I can imagine. Also He seems to get me out of some very awkward situations on a regular basis.
I may be able to beat a super-computer at Chess, but i have never been able to beat God in ordering my life.
I feel a swelling, a pregnancy of accumulated cause and effect just about to swamp a beleagured world.
Might be time to get a few weeds out of the borders with a trowel, and a lot of patience and forbearance then.
As I write this, we have breaking news that a multiple murder has taken place in St Helier of five people. This has not happened before. What store of volence and uninhibited anarchy have we to deal with even in a backwater of this planet.
I might book myself back in the psychiatric wing, getting in is more difficult than getting out....
My Husband came to tell me that it's six people now dead. From knife attack.
i remember being taken into hospital once, and told I was there for observation. That I might be a danger to my Husband. i asked how? I was told I might murder Him... Why I asked? Because He expects you to be a Steptford Wife... was the answer... (And you are,) so we think you might flip and kill him. (Unlikely I thought, If I was going to kill Him, I would have done it by now...).
So somebody else flipped... takes a lot of moral fiber to bottle emotion under pressure, rather like Champagne. Don't shake it up before you plan to open it. No one knows the emotional and psychological stress each of us are dealing with in this current world.
That the world we live in makes this kind of event plausable is anarchy.
That my 'natural gift' is dis-association until the real impot of measure can be taken in is unrecognised by others, and deemed a psychanalytic disorder is rather bizare. I prefer the 'wait and see'. Hold on to the emotion until the facts pesent themselves mode more useful. We have another horrible tragedy to deal with very close at hand.
